 Abundant Roses
My neighbor taught me a few years ago, how to prune my rose bush so it will blossom continuously all summer long.  Beautiful Blue Jay
I'm told by my neighbor that the bluejays were nearly wiped out in our area about six years ago by West Nile Virus. Well, I've been assured this week that they're back! Yes, I know; these birds can be quite obnoxious at times, but their distinctive sound alerted me today that they were traveling in family groups quite near my home...sometimes 10 at the same time!  Incredible Iris
I wandered into my backyard this morning like an expectant mother. Would there be any new blooms today? I was not disappointed! This beauty looks like you could walk right in, lie down and take a nap! So refreshing!

 Spring Cardinal
This photo was worth waiting for! I followed this male cardinal around my yard for several weeks. He was always JUST out of reach. I hung over the back fence between the shed and fence for what seemed like forever! When he finally lit, I snapped the shutter until he flew away. Breath-taking! 1024 x 768 1280 x 800
