Okay...I had several issues with this recipe (from November 29, 2009 issue of Family Circle)...but have not been thwarted! I will keep trying! :)
We own some wonderful books written by Shirley Corriher called Bakewise and Cookwise. Her "teaching style" gives all the background of not only the hows of cooking/baking, but also the whys. It's chemistry class for my homeschooled kiddos to say the least. Yes, we consider them school books! :)
