Everybody needs a good chocolate chip cookie recipe!  Here's one that's soft (thanks to the ½ tsp. of cold water), but crispy around the edges (if you use real butter).  It's been tested by the most scrutinizing pallettes!

Ingredients:

• 1 C butter (2 sticks), softened
• ¾ C sugar
• ¾ C brown sugar (Do NOT pack)
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ½ tsp cold water
• 2 ¾ C flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ C walnuts, finely chopped
• ¾ tsp salt
• 10 oz. chocolate chips 

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugars. With blender, mix in eggs, vanilla and water. In separate dish, mix flour, baking soda, nuts and salt. Blend dry ingredients into wet. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°.

Serving suggestion: Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream between two cookies. YUMMY!
